This is an immediate steady climb for the first mile, with rocks to add to the challenge! There are moments of more gradual challenges, but it is uphill all the way to the Booth Falls. Once the falls can be heard off to the left,...More

It was a great time and the leaves had started to turn so it was absolutely beautiful. Being from the hill country in TX and in okay shape I didn't expect this little hike to be that hard. This was marked as a moderate hike....More

Beautiful hike but there are plenty of other gorgeous hikes in the Vail Valley. This one has a lot of uphill, parking can be a challenge and the trail gets a lot of use. If you want a hike with fewer people on the trail...More

Once you get up there, it's pretty nice. But it's like climbing stairs for an hour! Be prepared for nothing but up. I don't think it's a good starter trail if you are not used to the altitude because it's something like 9000 feet. Not...More

This is a great hike but the Vail police make their money ticketing on the Frontage road across from the too small parking lot. We arrived at 10:00 am on a Saturday, August, 2017, and the parking on the lower and upper lots were full....More

We are in our early sixties, and walk daily. We think if you are not used to walking or hiking regularly, this climb could be difficult. Especially with the elevation. The last 1/4 mile is killer, be careful! But, it is a beautiful hike, aspens...More

About two miles to the falls may seem short to some but the trail is steeper than most. Close to Vail and the free bus will take you to the trailhead.

We hiked up in the morning ... and I believe it was a good idea as the air was cold enough to let us move quickly. Everyone made the trail at their own pace: 12 year old son nearly run up, I and my husband...More

Somewhat steep grades at first then more gradual. Good trail if you're coming from lower elevations like Charleston or Florida. Easy to follow paths, almost impossible to get off track unless you choose to go off path intentionally. Loved it!

We stopped at Booth Falls Trail to hike while we waited for traffic to lighten up. We had a group of seven people and it took us 2 hours and 15 minutes to climb to the falls. We enjoyed soaking our feet, taking pictures, and...More

My husband hiked this trail last September and said in was beautiful. The leaves were turning. It can be chilly in the early morning, but usually in the 65- 70s if sun is out by noon.

As long as there is no snow or rain then I'm sure you can. We hiked in October and the ground was nice and dry. It's not a super difficult hike.

No. Sorry so late to respond. Should be great to spike hike or snowshoe this time of year.
