Beautiful trail

Highly recommended. Stands of aspen, waterfall views, river views, wildlife. It's really a fantastic little trail.

The path is suitable for bikes or walking. I am not sure the length of the trail, but it will take you thru some very pretty areas.

We love walking this trail in the winter, with or without a lot of snow, with or without yak tracks and with or without snowshoes. Yet, if you go east to the golf course snowshoes or yak tracks may be helpful. Stop at the Betty Ford Alpine garden and check out yak tracks or snowshoes. Or, get them at the... More

Great easy fun bike path that meanders it way along the Vail golf course and through Vail. Good for bikers, joggers, walkers.

The trail is very well maintained and even though you are near the highway, the way it is situated most of the time you feel like you are out in the wilderness. It is a very beautiful ride and you... Biking on the recreation path is a very fun experience on a sunny fall day, and also is like a parade of homes, as you pass the beautiful architecture Vail Valley.

We hired bikes from Vail and first off all rode towards Lionshead. However, I would recommend going the other way as it is much more beautiful and wild.

The path is just as wonderful as people describe. We rented bikes, including a tandem bike for our 4 year old, from Lions Village and began out journey from there. What I wish I knew beforehand and will share so others know is that you can plan a half or full day that really caters to kids. There are 3... More

The Vail Recreational Path is to be enjoyed by all. Beauty all around for you to enjoy. Take pictures, smell the great outdoors, and say to a friendly fellow walker.
