This place is a must stay. The hotel is very nice with an Austrian feel. The staff are extremely professional, well trained and you can see they love the hotel they work for. The hotel has a spa and oxygen bar inside which was very nice to adjust to the altitude. The pool is inside and outside so you can... More

This is a "must do" only second to the slopes. I had a deep tissue massage with April that was incredible! After the Xmas holidays and New Years, I felt like my neck couldn't move. Traveling for business on long flights doesn't help my back either. So, I was very excited for my appointment. And April didn't disappoint! She is... More

Our daughter and her boyfriend gave my wife & I a memory this holiday season: a day at the Sonnenalp Spa and an hour long couples massage. Wow. It is too hard to describe just how relaxing this was. If you're lucky enough to get Colleen as your masseuse, you're lucky enough...she is skilled at her craft! And the atmosphere... More

I took advantage of the off season specials to try several treatments and as a local I have to say this was one of the most professional spas I've visited in the Vail Valley. I've tried several in Vail attached to hotels. I have had 2 great mani/pedis that are very well done and last forever. The facial I had... More

Jessica gave an extremely relaxing and helpful facial!! She recommended excellent products for my skin that I purchased and am very happy with. I have had quite a few facials in my time, and she really listened to my needs of sensitive skin and none of the products she chose irritated or stung my skin. Sometimes masks can be "stingy"... I visited this spa for a return visit this weekend with a girl friend for her birthday. We enjoyed the outdoor hot tub in the beautiful fall setting of Vail. As we prepared for our facials, we were thrilled to see the same staff therapists from our visit a year ago. Jessica and Dana are not only familiar faces but... More

European spa with cozy surroundings. My lymphatic facial was a gentle touch treatment that helped with allergies. Quite disappointed in the 20 min. reflexology that cost $90. I wish I had researched pricing before booking, had no idea such a short treatment would be this expensive. It should have been offered as an add on to my facial for a... More

My friends and I visited the spa for a day and it was very relaxing. The oxygen bar really helped with our altitude sickness. It's so peaceful there. If you need a relaxing, rejuvenating day, visit the spa. Also, check out the hot tubs outside. Wonderful scenery!

Choose this spa instead of where we were staying for the reviews and 2012, I think, high rating in a national review. Pool and hot tub area was nicely situated along the creek...didn't have the hotel pool feel. Service was good and massages were as expected. Couples massage room however was quite small and Sirius radio interjected random speaking titles... More

First visit, and it was an excellent experience. We enjoyed Sonnenalp and the village that it sits within. Everyone was helpful, super nice, and flexible. My wife and I purchased the spa package. It was great. We're planning a return trip.
