Chair lifts are faster

The Gondola is fine, but honestly when the line is around the block, you can just take the two chairlifts back-to-back and probably get to the same spot faster.

Steamboat is an amazing Ski Resort. Gondola is the fastest way to go up to the lodge. From there there is a large choice of tracks and different levels:, green, blue and black (after a part of blue - Heavenly Daze). The Vagabond (blue) is the best! You have to try it

My friend & I had a private tour on the snowmobiles driven by our guides, Tac & Steven. It was a beautiful day, and the scenery was wonderful. We received a lot of information about the area including the history of the surrounding area. It was a very delightful experience. Lang & Betty

On of the best views offered by any ski gondola anywhere. Even if you're not skiing, this may be worth the ride and lunch at the top.

The gondola was efficient and well managed but on the weekends the queues were predictably longer. The staff were friendly and we had no problems with the passes.

Took the gondola to the top for the scenery. We are not skiers so only rode 1 time. $30 for a day pass seems a bit pricey when you only ride once. If I was skiing perhaps. Would like to see a lower price for a 1 time only ride to the top. Beautiful scenery and views from the top.... More

Not a skier but rode the gondola up to see the views and eat at the restaurants. Experienced the hustle/bustle of the skiers, boarders, snowshoes groups having a blast.

This gondola provides reliable uphill transport although it can get very busy on weekend "powder mornings". Staff are always on hand to organise efficient loading numerically and to place your skis into the racks for you.

Well worth a ride on this Gondola, the view from the top is wonderful. There is a cafe at the top and while we didn't eat there, there was very large crowd enjoying the food

This was my fifth trip to Steamboat, Colorado, from California. Love this ski resort. The gondola is the quickest way up the mountain, fast with fast lines, great way to meet people and chat while getting up the mountain. The gondola is at the base of the mountain surrounded by shops and restaurants. Great place to grab a coffee or... More
