Actually pretty peaceful experience but this is because the guide was so skillful. He makes it look so easy. They were kind and very concerned about the experience for us.

Had a great time with these guys rafting the Rio Grande river. Even though the river was low when we were there, it was still a fun and peaceful ride (for a more exciting ride, you evidently want to go the end of May/beginning of June!). Our guide, Jamie, was fun and knowledgeable, as well as obviously very experienced, being... More

We rafted the Rio Grande during our family vacation to Colorado with Mountain Man Rafting. The owner, Joel, was our guide. Joel is very knowledgeable and passionate about the Colorado outdoors. The river was very easy on the day we went and great for young kids. All of the guides are awesome with the kids. Especially the head Guide, Paul.... More

We took our 3 children, ages 13-6, who had never been rafting before. They loved it. The rapids were quiet this time of year, but the guide was a local and was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

A great way to spend an afternoon. Friendly and knowledgable staff. Too bad you cannot take photos since your phone will probably get wet. They take a much needed break halfway through.

We went toward the end of June and Rachael was our Guide. Almost everyone at Mountain Man Rafting was great but Rachael was awesome. She kept us entertained during a rather moderate trip. After talking to her, I understand that earlier in the season (May), the waters can be a little more exciting while our trip was a tad on... More

We had a great time rafting the Rio Grande. The water was perfect, not too rough, but enough rapids to make it fun and get wet. Our guide, Rye, was awesome. He was extremely knowledgable about the area (having grown up in Creede), pointed out all of the landmarks, gave us ideas of other fun things to do, and answered... More

First time rafting. The water was perfect! Our guide Paul was amazing and very knowledgeable! Loved that the shuttle van drivers stopped and took pics of us.

Absolutely fantastic experience - water was running high, guides and shuttle drivers were polite, funny, and made the whole experience that much more memorable! Very knowledgeable about the geography, area history, and the river itself. A MSUT DO!
