The tour of this mine was fabulous began with riding in mining cars 1/3 mile into the mine where the tour began. The guide demonstrated and explained how things worked in the mine. The mine was well lit. The tour lasted an hour. The admission price was well worth it!

Our guide was funny and knew everything about mining. Great experience for the kids which were on our tour. And the landscape you get to see until you're in Silverton is stunning.

Our guide was funny and very informative. Considering you in a mine there was a lot of room and light so you didn't feel closed in much. Nice to see how the miners worked and what they each did to get the rock out. The panning was fun also.

Great experience!!! Beautiful scenery on the way to Silverton. Best I've ever seen. Be sure to ask for Mike Costantine. He's knowledge of geology ad the biology of the area is fantastic. He has the life I wish I had!! The mine is amazing. How those men worked down there is veyond me. Makes me appreciate the life I have,... More

Went to Old hundred Gold Mine Tour and I sure am glad I did. I was really awesome to see how the miners use to mine back in the day. Way back in the day. and how they changed though the years until the mine finally closed. I got to pan to. Got so real pretty stones a little copper... More

An informative tour. We were there on a rainy day. Tours are on the hour and so we had to wait for 30 minutes for the next tour. ave us the opportunity to talk to two of the men who worked there. Full of information about the mine, mining, and the area. You are provided with a yellow slicker and... More

Great tour guide. He knew a lot about the mine and how the process worked. I do warn tho that the average temp I'm the mountain is a constant 47 degrees wether it's summer or fall. Take a sweater.

This was really a lot of fun. The mine car takes you quite deep into the mine - its pitch black, cold, and wet back in there (the tour area is lighted). Not for the claustrophobic. The mine contains a lot of interesting artifacts and machinery from various eras, and the tour guide demonstrates the operations. You really come away with... More

We really enjoyed our tour. Was a little pricey. The kids loved putting on the mining jackets and hard hats. My favorite part was the ride in and it of the mine. The tour guide was great. He used to work in mines and worked this mine briefly. So we learned a lot about mining. The kids panned for gold.... More
