Easy and Scenic Trail
Mar 2021 • Family
This was a nice trail near Red Rocks. You follow the creek and enjoy some nice scenery. Very busy. Easy for kids and dogs.

Easy Hiking in a Beuatiful Natural Setting
Sep 2020
Enjoyed this park because it was easy flat hiking along the creek with great scenery. You can go up in the hills for a more varied hike. Lots of friendly people and a wonderful Colorado vibe. We are visiting from the flatland and really liked this park.

Beautiful hike
Jul 2020 • Couples
Plenty of parking and well marked trails. Great scenery and loved the sounds of rushing water and even got within a few feet of a beautiful deer.

Nice to reconnect with nature!
Jun 2020
We lucked out with cloudy skies and cool weather, perfect for a challenging hike in late June! Most mt bikers were courteous and called out to pass, but a few were total A__holes and came very close to hitting us, my wife and I and our pooch, by passing way too fast and way too close. Multi-use trails can be dangerous!

Great hiking for out-of-towers!

If just visiting, the hiking is great. It is right along a river and mostly flat. Various trails with shade. If you are from sea level, this park is good starting point....about 5800 feet. Enjoy!

Lovely park for walking
Sep 2019
Several hiking trails, some are flat and follow the creek while one trail climbs up a bluff (easy to moderate) and is a bit rocky and narrow in places. Good family hikes, not too strenuous.
Lots of shade trees, and plenty of spots along the creek to fish or relax.
Many picnic tables located in shady spots.
One of my favorite parks, an easy drive from Denver heading west.

Good park with horrible parking
Aug 2019 • Couples
Loved the trails. Beautiful creek. Parking was a ridiculous situation. Go early to park in the lot otherwise you have to park way up on the road.

Beware Smoky the Bear on the way there
Aug 2019
This is a very popular park and can be crowded. The highway to the park is guarded by the Morrison police who are infamous for their speed traps. Do not speed or roll thru any stop signs!

Walk in the park!
Jun 2019 • Friends
We did two different trails at this park. They were both pretty easy. One trail walked along the river which provided a relaxing walk without the sound of cars or other people. We were told that there was a bear track on the trail, however, we never spotted any wildlife! This trail was very flat, allowing for people who cannot do elevation climbs to join in on the hike! It gave my friend from out of town a piece of Colorado without “killing” her! The other trail we did with a separate group of friends went up to the bluff. Definitely more challenging from the previous trail (and more narrow) but again, it wasn’t too challenging. It provided a fun CO photo shoot at the top! It ended along the river giving this trail a little extra flair! We probably spent about an hour doing each trail going at a mild pace! Ps it does get very crowded on the weekend - if your schedule allows I would suggest a weekday visit (in our experience this made for less traffic / people)!

Fun, Easy Hike!
Aug 2019 • Family
Free park & parking. Easy, flat hike with options to take the creek path. Many families, watch out for bike riders (all were thoughtful). Wade in the cold creek, cross several bridges, picnic tables near parking lot. Really a fun park very near Lakewood.
