We loved it here, our children are 7 & 5, both loved the museum, looking for fossils in the sand pit ,the mini bus ride to the different viewing points of interest and our guide was very informative and interesting . My youngest seemed to enjoy climbing the rocks more than looking at dinosaur fossils, but my 7 year old... More

Highly recommend talking the 45 minute guided tour for $8 pp for adults. Our guide was excellent at explaining the different fossils that we were viewing and the different geologic time periods. She did a marvelous job keeping the kids involved and learning. Very nice gift shop and museum. The folks at the museum are also very knowledgeable and approachable.

We went on a sunny day in December and despite the snow on the ridge it was easily hiked. The information boards are well maintained and if you like dinosaurs then this will blow your mind. From tracks to bones - there is so much to see.

I first saw Dinosaur Ridge twenty-five years ago when the "visitors center" was a tiny shack that was rarely open; and one could then park one's car beside the dinosaur tracks and fossils. Fortunately, the highway around the ridge is closed to through-traffic, and there is now a substantial visitors center. One can park at the visitors center and hike... More

We took the guided tour and I really wasn't expecting much, but it was a VERY interactive tour with a lot of backstories on the area, the digging and the thievery. You can see where dinosaurs walked with their young, you can taste dinosaur bones and imagine what the area looked like ions ago!

A nice walk for an hour or so, and good vistas. Either park in the Car Parks and walk up and down the ridges. Descriptions and examples are shown at points along the road and at the top there is a sun shelter and good view, it's not very steep and it's a very easy walk. Otherwise you can park... More

Decided to visit this unique site close to Red Rocks. We opted for the guided tour on their shuttle which takes about 40-45 minutes. While the self-guided tour would have been fine and an easy walk, we were glad that we had the benefit of a guide to help us better understand the features of this site. You can easily... More

A nice place to bring kids with, especially on your way back from red rocks amphitheater, small facility but good enough for short tour.

We stop here every time we're in town to ski. The boys love visiting and the store is really good and the stuff is substantially less expensive than what you'll find in Aspen (we learned the hard way). The exhibits, while not extensive, are very informative and the staff is nice. Some time, when we're not on a schedule, we'll... More

If you're waiting for a concert to start over at Red Rocks I highly suggest taking this short little walk. It's got a lot of cool information and has real dinosaur tracks that have been left untouched for the most part. It also has amazing views!
