This museum tells the story of the people and town of Manitou Springs The volunteers are friendly and helpful. This museum is free. They try hard to keep their exhibits fresh and local. They even have people doing lecture off and on , so check the calendar on-line.

I stepped in to this little museum as I was strolling up Manitou Ave. Received a warm greeting from the two volunteers. There's a couple of constant running videos of the early days of the Cog railroad and construction of the Pikes Peak Highway. This was also a mining town 150 years ago and there are pictures and memorabilia. It's... More

Wonderful museum for local history. Every changing exhibits with great artifacts and photographs of Manutou Springs and the Pikes Peak region. Run by volunteers so not always open, check times before visiting. In a historic building with other interesting buildings adjacent to it.

Manitou Springs is not far from Colorado Springs and it's Heritage Center is free (donations are accepted) to visit, operated by friendly well informed volunteers who have much to tell about this small mountain town today and it's local history. The museum is small, well organised and full of useful information for travelers. For such a small place, Manitou offers... More

Sweet little museum operated by volunteers who introduce the culture and history unique to the area. Free but donations accepted. Great place to start before exploring Manitou or heading to the Cog Railway for Pikes Peak.

This is a great little museum with a different main rotating theme every few months. It is operated on donations and I think it is well worth including on your travels. It won't take you but about a 1/2 hour but there are things about the area, particularly if you like to learn about local history that you won't find... More

This is a small museum, but the docents are full of stories. Loved the bridges display, and liked the fact it was right in downtown Manitou springs

We took a drive to Manton Spring just for a walk along the springs. We arrived on the day of Manifest. So not only did we get to take the waters we tasted some favoured waters as well. The festival increased the number of colourful people about, but the shops have a fun nature to them.
