Been here many times, and we usually see a deer or two. The unique rock formations make a wonderful backdrop for a walk. This is a good warmup before tackling RMNP trails, especially if you need to adjust to the altitude. Loveland is a lovely...More

Easy basic hike with some seclusion and great desert flora and fauna. Hit it right and You'll see a prairie rattled. Views are medium and the terrain is runable.

I love to hike to the Keyhole rock. View from the rock is spectacular. When friends and relatives visit, it is a hike which can easily be done in an hour. The backbone rock formation is unique.

An amazing early morning walk at sunrise or sunset. Beautiful and haunting. One of the best parts of the foothills

We visited at sunrise to get some good photos. There is a short loop trail which is wheelchair accessible and a long trail for runners, hikers and bicycles. The views are great.

This trail is a nice stop near the Fort Collins/Loveland area. There are seperate paths, one for mountain bikes/runners/horses and one for hikers. The incline is not major and the trail can be taken longer if running/biking verses about a mile hike.

It is walkable, just mind your pace, and realize that you are at altitude, which can have a significant effect on some people. Be conservative - some expend too much time and energy going out, and don't turn back soon... More
