Roxborough is stunning, even for Colorado resident accustomed to natural magnificence. Red rocks and hiking and wildlife and close-enough-to-town, makes this a special place for visitors.

There are several miles of hiking trails in this park, and a good visitor center. On weekends, the park literally fills up and they don't let new cars in until other ones leave. $7 for a carful.

Great panoramic views, moderate hiking challenge I did the South Rim Loop. It does cost 7$ for a day pass and dogs are not allowed. My only complaint is that the trails aren't marked very well. Worth the drive.
