Quiet and beautiful. In a valley with mountains all around. This is a beautiful place to visit whether you go to fish, camp, or just picnic with the family.

Look up as you go through the tunnels. There are still stains from the smoke of the trains that used to run though there. This park is beautiful and well worth the $7.00 fee we paid to drive through it. The views are amazing, and...More

Quiet, great fishing and just being there is well worth just relaxing there. Camping is available. And the wild life looks great also. But they are more afraid of you.

The drive in to Eleven Mile State Park winds through the Pike National Forest. It's remote, so be sure you pack a paper map because you won't have cell phone coverage. When you come around the bend and the scene opens up to the reservoir...More

The state park is just huge, surrounding the reservoir. Some incredible scenery and mountain views here on the high mountain area. We didn't camp here, but there are many campground areas surrounding the lake. The ones we saw had no shade at all.

My wife and I so enjoyed our visit to Eleven Mile State Park in beautiful Lake George, CO yesterday. This place is amazing and the park has done a great job preserving the amazing, beautiful place in the Colorado high country for all to enjoy.

We have been here a few times when we've been in Colorado. I think the place is magnificent. The views are gorgeous. The road is kind of washboard bumpy, but we stop every couple hundred yards and just admire nature's beauty.
