A long enduring tradition in the San Luis Valley at least ever since I can remember. I was able to see the beautiful mountains but no aliens or Sully. It has a nice camping spot and is invaluable culturally.

There's a private campground on site that makes a great base to explore the surrounding region. Hot springs, Great Sand Dunes National Park, Zapata Falls, Crestone(art colony, buddhist monastery, maybe Nordic aliens), and gators!! Rio Grande National Forest and Creede makes a great day trip as well.

I have watched many episodes of Ancient Aliens and my daughter said let's check it out, so road trip! We had a good time visiting the Watchtower. The night skies are incredible! We will come back in the summer when there are warm nights!

UFO Watchtower had appeared on TripAdvisor as I planned this trip. Unfortunately, the attraction was closed on this Thursday morning in October. We viewed the Watchtower from the road and driveway and took lots of photos. What a fun sight on the side of the road!

Curiosities always get our attention. Price of admission is worth it. Interesting artifacts and oddities abound.

The UFO Watchtower in Hooper, Colorado has been one of my favorite places to visit in this state for more than 8 years now. My wife and I first discovered this place back in May of 2008, and have been drawn back to it repeatedly ever since then. There is definitely an unusual vibe there, but it's not something everyone... A unique place to stop on the way to Salida or Alamosa but not something that I would have done otherwise. I'm not sure what I think about UFO sightings but there are many stories that are described in the gift shop. People just leave items on the site and there is a small tower to view. Would be a...
