Great place and the atmosphere is amazing as long as you don't mind the sulpher smell. Bring plenty of water. A bit pricey but worth it.

This trail is perfect for a quick morning workout. You can follow the street or various trails up there. On the top you'll arrive at the big cross and you can go even further if you want. The views are pretty nice, probably the best...More

Although I live only 30 minutes away, I've only hiked this trail once . . . in winter. The snow was too deep on the trail, and the road was open, but very, very icy in spots. We had hiking poles, but no slip-on cleats...More

Stay off the road and hike the mountain path up, and you won't be disappointed. Great view of Glenwood Springs.

I've been hiking, skiing and biking this trail for 5 decades and never, ever tire of it. I started hiking it because it was just out my door, I had a dog and we both needed to off-load some energy at the end of the...More

Nice enjoyable hike. Took our time and enjoyed the views. Not too difficult. There's a road if you are uncomfortable with the hiking trail. Would do it again.
