Beautiful morning or night

Lake Dillon is huge and beautiful! You can walk, bike or drive along it. It was right outside our hotel at Best Western. There's lots of good eats too in that certain location.

What a beautiful lake and so much to do in and around lake. You can hike, bike, SUP, sail, power boat, sit on beaches and enjoy the backdrop of the mountains. Check out Marina to rent, but in summer make a reservation at least a week in advance for weekends as they get sold out (we didn't make a rez,... More

We took a speed boat out one day and the next day a sail boat. Both times the staff ran a seamless operation. The boats were clean, well taken care of, and the staff was knowledgable, friendly and cared about your safety. We had a great time and will return again!

I stayed near the lake and rode my bike and walked along the paths around the lake. Great views. I wish I was able to stay longer and enjoy this lake.

This is a beautiful place for families or couples to come play in the water. Bring your SUP, boat, or simly play and sit in the sand and get your feet wet. Always a favorite.

I could not believe my eyes: Expansive water in the mountains! Sailboats in the mountains! Clear, beautiful water to swim in. Amazing sunsets!!! We camped at Prospector and also had a condo at Swan Mountain Resort, both convenient to Lake Dillon, and we were amazed every night with a completely different sunset over the lake and the mountains!!! Being from... More

We had planned to rent a boat but it rained. Since it was just a light rain we donned our ponchos and hiked the trail to the old reservoir. It was actually a very nice hike, even in the misty conditions. Got lots of terrific photos of the snow capped mountain peaks that surround the area.

Short drive from the Denver area with amazing views on the drive. Rented a pontoon at the marina and got to experience the breathtaking veiws along the reservoir. We had lunch on the pontoon as it was equipped with a grill. Marina staff was helpful and friendly. Showers, restrooms, shop, and tiki bar are also available at the marina. We... More

An absolutely beautiful lake of refreshingly cold water! It's everything you imagine in a mountain lake. Gorgeous views of the mountains that surround this reservoir. There is a great asphalt trail that goes most (all?) of the way around it. My children, my dog and I walked for about 3 miles before we turned and went back. Dogs should be... More
