The canvas was his ally. The paint and the trowel were his weapons. And the Art World was his enemy. Discover an American Master at the Clyfford Still Museum, home to the world's most intact public collection of a major American artist. From October 14, 2016 to January 15, 2017, the Clyfford Still Museum will display more than 260 of Clyfford Still's works on paper in the Museum's largest exhibition to date. With very few exceptions, paintings will not be on view in the Museum during this time.

This is a must see if you are an modern art enthusiast! The building itself is modern yet elegant. The exhibition here definitely worthwhile the time and the price for the ticket. There are many pieces in the storage vault due to the limited space,...More

Adjacent to the much larger Denver Art Museum, this museum is the only one of its kind: built specifically to showcase the complete collection of Clyfford Still's works and archives. Impressive large-scale paintings displayed in a beautiful architectural space, and even more to dive into...More

The setting is wonderful and the art interesting for the most part. This is a "one man" museum, literally and while his work is outstanding it is limited.

This museum is relatively small, and is devoted to a single artist, the Abstract Expressionist Clyfford Still. This well curated museum does a fine job of tracing the evolution of Still's work. The paintings are impressive; his letters and other materials help to explain his...More

For quite awhile now, I've wanted to see this museum. The architecture is modern yet simple as to not compete for attention. This leaves Clyfford Still's work to come forward and capture your focus. Wonderfully peaceful and lots of space to contemplate the works. Take...More

I loved this building as much as its contents! The space is lovely to walk around and really adds something to the art that is contains. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable and tours are also offered.

It's an exceptional collection, with a great staff running it. You will learn a lot and it's not quite as busy as the bigger Denver Art Museum. Very friendly people. Highly recommend!

I'm not one who tends to "get" art like others do. I like it or I don't, but always have trouble reading into what the artist is trying to say, especially with abstract art. Seeing Still's works set our chronologically, though, helped show the move...More

This may have been my favorite museum in Denver. The works presented here are amazing!!! There are some themes that might not be suitable for children, but not all. Highly recommended for all fans of art.
