A walk through Denver Botanic Gardens is the perfect antidote to the craziness of the everyday. Particularly relaxing are the bonsai garden and the amazing water gardens.

The Denver Botanic Gardens is like paradise in the Rockies. A must see place with exotic plants that are well taken care of. In addition to the gardens are numerous education programs and activities.

Really well done winter lighting display. Incredibly varied range of lighting types and designs. Quite stunning. It is a lot longer than I thought, took about 45 minutes to walk through, although we then looped back to a few things. Probably plan on one hour...More

Well worth the trip from the downtown area. We opted for the municipal shared bikes to get there. Had a quick breakfast in the cafe, and the walked the entire garden. Quite a bit to see, but doable in an hour or so.

What a great way to enjoy the holiday season. There are so many lights and some new displays. The pathway is clearly marked and the visitors are happy with a leisurely stroll. It took about an hour to make the loop. Ticketing online is the...More

Been meaning to do this the past few years but just never bought the advanced tickets which are really needed since it tends to sell out. Finally had light loving people in town visiting so I got the tickets and we all loved it! Impressive...More

I've been meaning to do this for about -- well, all my life. I finally took my family just for fun a few weekends ago, and despite the confusing and irritating parking situation (they give you a map and tell you where you can park,...More

It can get pretty cold in Dec, and we've been to the Gardens that month. The conservatory is the same as usual, but wandering around outside can be cold - or, given that it's Denver, it could be relatively pleasant. No way... More

Not sure, but I don’t think so. I’ve never seen anyone picnicking there. They do not have grassy open spaces, no tables.
