    So Much To Do
Union Station is an incredible place to check out more than once! The first time my friends and I were here, we walked through some of the shops. We also took fun touristy pictures out front with the beautiful sign. We came back a few times to eat at the various restaurants. We also did a free cycling class in front of Union Station one Saturday morning, and then walked through the Saturday Farmer's Market! There's always something going on or something to do - whether it is a rainy day activity or somewhere to be on a sunny Saturday morning.

    Fun Day in Denver
Easy to find. There is a parking garage right next to the station. Warning that it is a little expensive though. We were parked there for about 5 hours and it cost us $30. The inside of the station is very pretty. There are shops and restaurants inside. People were just hanging out there or waiting on their train. Enjoyed the time we were there.

Classy Train Station with Bar, Restaurants, Shops
My husband and I took the train from the airport to Union Station to walk to our hotel nearby. The station is beautiful, classy, clean and busy with travelers, diners, and shoppers. We got a glass of wine from the Terminal Bar and sat in the large lobby to people watch. There are several restaurants and quick spots to grab ice cream, sandwiches, salads, as well as a Wafels & Dinges Belgian waffle counter (they are delicious). If you have some free time, it's a great place to stop by...you'll find something you like there.

    Historic Union Station was pretty
We enjoyed seeing Union Station and catching a bite to eat from an inside vendor (sandwich shop). We ate our lunch in the lobby and enjoyed the architectural views. What we did not like about the station and area was that we did not feel especially safe. There were armed security guards in the area patrolling and that helped us feel at ease but I think the fact that it is a functioning train station attracts all different types of people.

    Nice!
Really nice eclectic area. Great places to eat, cute shops. Outdoor dining was so pleasant. The Amtrak train stops here including an airport train. Great deal- in fact fare is free to airport during august 2023! I recommend a visit to this nice area of Denver.

    Worth the visit
Union Station is grand central station! Everything we did revolved around this location. Rode the train from the airport to union station for FREE! During July and August all RTD transportation (train, bus, railcar) are all offered FREE!

    Great Hub
Came in on the bus and walked right next door to catch the train to the airport. It was so nice to avoid having to use ride share to get to my airport area hotel. Fare was 10.50 and ticket at kiosk. The train was clean and quick.

    Denver's Living Room
We booked a tour with Rocky Mountaineer and our hotel ended up being in Union Station. Our guide from the train station to the hotel told us this place was in disrepair and was going to be torn down until some locals fought to save it. It's just a cool place, with restaurants, shops, the hotel, and oh yes, an actual train station. We read that this place is often referred to as Denver's living room, a great place to people watch. Our hotel stay included free coffee, free ice cream, and free drinks, so we patronized several of the establishments while taking advantage of our offers. We also walked around the area during the day and felt safe.

The security guards need to be trained on how not to be rude.
Union station is beautiful it's one of the best Union stations I've been in. I would have given it five stars but a boy that looked like he was 15 years old that was a security guard told me to get my bag off of the chair and when I asked him why he threatened to kick me out. He was like someone that would probably make a good nazi.

    Train Hub
Great link to airport with trains running every 15 minutes for $10.50 and a 30-40 minute ride on the A line.. Numerous food locations in station. Ranges from coffee/pastries to full breakfast. The ever popular terminal bar is also fun and active. Very clean with active security. Minutes from the Orford hotel Very highly recommended Slainte

I couldn't do justice to Denver's Union Station if I had one thousand words to do it. So I'll keep this brief. I've patronized other revived transportation terminals from coast to coast (e.g., Washington DC and San Francisco), and none come close to the ingenious re-use in Denver. Its restaurants could feed you every day for a year without once repeating meals. Its non-food tenants, such as Tattered Cover bookstore, are tied to travel, adventure, and distant destinations. And yet it's still a functioning train station, with prolific signage indicating locations for ticket purchase, train locations, and such. Union Station is a must-see, must-patronize site for anyone seeking a complete Denver experience.

Unfortunately this great building (outside and inside look amazing) is totally spoilt and ruined by the many drugs addict homeless people lurking around. I felt unsafe in spite of seeing police officers patrolling on foot and by car. This is such a shame as this is one of the best landmarks we have seen and visited in this city. Clearly addiction is a major issue there. Unsavoury people around make you feel stressed during your holidays when you should be able to just enjoy your visit. Going to Wholefoods is an amazing experience inside as the food and produce they sell are amazing but you just want to rush back to your hotel once you step outside, such a waste of resources.

Classic railroad station that still services Amtrak and a train to and from Denver airport. Lots of restaurants, bars, and other shops, in a well preserved, secure environment. Decorated for Christmas and that is very well done both inside and outside.

Fairly easy access from anywhere in the downtown Denver area including by a free 16th St. bus that runs between Civic Center and Union Station, and is one block away from Union Station that takes about a minute and a half to get there by walking.

I would suggest going both during the day and evening, but if you're only going to go once, I would go after dark to take in the Christmas lights and a laser light show on the front of the building.

A beautiful building with lots of people watching opportunities. Clean, centrally located, and busy.

You cannot sit in the beautifully furnished central area unless you are a patron of the hotel or other shops. I wish there was more dining!
