The most amazing old house to tour in Denver! I've toured it several times and I thought it was more interesting than the Molly Brown House. It's almost entirely original and was the home of one of Denver's founding families.

What an amazing beautiful historic home. Over 10,000 square feet of beautiful rooms and original furnishings. Great hidden gym only one block from the Denver Art Museum. Make time to go through this treasure.

Be aware that tours are offered only hourly. What a gem! Unlike the Molly Brown House (which is terrific) this home has nearly all of its original furnishings because they never left. I enjoyed our sprightly guide. She clearly loves the house and enjoys talking about it.

If you have a few hours to spare in downtown Denver and you are a lover of history, a great combination is to visit the Byers-Evans House, then go to History Colorado about two blocks away. You get a significant discount if you go to both. The museum has wonderful furnishings and artifacts, and the tour guide does a terrific... More

I just toured this lovely old home, full of history and originsl furnishings. It is an excellent representation of early 20th century living in Denver, Colorado. There are docent tours on the half hour, which take about an hour, and it is $6 for adults. If you like little, hidden museums, this will be your cup of tea.

I was at the awesome Colorado History Museum and they gave me a free ticket to this hidden gem. I took the 45 min. tour with a docent who really "knew her history". The architecture of this old wealthy home is incredible and they try to keep it as true to the era as possible. Don't miss out on this... More

Excellent tour and very interesting house. The guide, Stephen, told us not only about the owners of the house but a lot about Denver history.

Amazing authentic period home in the heart of down town. A visit to the Clyford Still museum and the Byers Evans would be a great combo.

Really enjoyed a tour of this vintage mansion. Having a guided tour was very helpful in learning history about the Byers and Evans family, how they lived, and the various additions to the house over the years. Fascinating to see so many well-preserved pieces of furniture and personal items.

- Our admission to the nearby History Colorado Museum allowed free entry to the Byers-Evans house. - Must attend the guided tour, tours lasts near one hour. - An outstanding feature is most (90%) of the pieces in the house (furniture, books, artwork) are original. In many "old house" tours the objects in the house are not original.
