A little costly but kids absolutely loved it. My youngest had the biggest blast following the ducks and peacocks around the grounds

Our kids dubbed it the Denver Death March because of the size & amount of walking. They were; 8, 10, &13 the first time we visited from MN. It is a larger zoo if you are used to smaller community zoos (like Como Zoo in...More

This zoo is so well laid out. The animals appear to be well taken care of. We visited on a hot day, so some of the animals were in shaded/protected areas so we could not see the animals. We had a great time. We didn't...More

beautiful zoo, lots of animals and even building a new area for the tigers, I would suggest that you time it perfectly. seems about 2 o'clock a lot of the animals were resting from eating, but they were still visible.

Great day at the zoo. Many shaded and indoor areas which made the heat quite tolerable. You can bring your own food as long as no glass and no straws which is great!

I don't know if the day of week matters. I went on a Tuesday and was fairly busy with groups of day camp kids. It is better to go early in day as many animals were hiding out from the hot afternoon sun.
