It's a long hike up, but so worth it when you get to the top. Encountered lots of bikers on the way.... makes it a little treacherous when there's a pack coming at you! There's a creek that runs through the valley below, quite beautiful....More

Before we started this hike, we were unaware that the trail is used primarily for biking. The many deep grooves in the trail make it a bit challenging for hiking, but we persevered and glad we did. The views at the top are breathtaking. We...More

Really great hike. You'll want a 4x4 vehicle to get to the trailhead unless you don't mind beating up your sedan. Moderate uphill walk from the Washington Gulch side which provides great views of wild flowers, surrounding peaks, and vistas.

A moderate trail with nothing technical to worry about. Great for families and kids - minimal exposure. Very beautiful views out over the valley back towards Crested Butte and wildflowers everywhere.

Have done this hike many times and will continue to do so. It's an easy 20 minute drive up Wash Gulch to the parking area adjacent to the trailhead. Paradise Divide stuns you on the left and once you clear the mining site and tree...More

It's hard to describe how gorgeous the wildflowers are on this trail, when you're here during the summer or fall. Be sure to bring a flower guide if you're interested in that sort of thing, and a camera for memories of the stunning views. The...More

Hi, Sounds like the wildflowers are blooming. Did you see a lot in the area generally? What trails (that you hiked) seemed to be the best for wildflowers? Thanks!

Wild flowers just beginning to pop. Any trail in the area is awesome. Just drive up Gothic, Washington Gulch, or Slate River roads and you'll be stunned.
