From Crested Butte to Glenwood Springs taking Keblers Pass

Beautiful scenery, decent road when dry, Average car will have no issues. Worlds largest organism when you pass through the aspen trees.

Plan on taking your time and enjoying the views. The road over the pass features both paved and unpaved sections but a normal passenger vehicle can easily navigate it. We brought some snacks and pulled off at one of the convenient places to nosh and soak in the natural beauty. Arrived in Crested Butte in time for lunch! The leaves... More

We came to Crested Butte from Glenwood Springs via the pass. We came too late to see the fall colors, but it didn't really matter bc it was still the most beautiful drive we've ever experienced. Our kids did very well during the drive as well - though one did get a little car sick. So if your kids get... More

It is a rough ride with some scary spots but well worth the ride for the beauty of nature before you. Take a good camera along you can't take a bad picture especially in the fall when the leaves are in full color. Keep on going to Paonia to the high wine country and visit the wineries along the road... More

In late September there's no more beautiful place to see aspens changing colors. Those were the largest aspens we've ever seen, and the trees are close to the road. Excellent photo opportunities.

It was a magnificent drive from Crested Butte to Aspen; the largest aspen forest was an incredible sight as the leaves were either bright yellow, orange or denuded.

As passes go Kebler Pass is right up there with the best of them. It does everything you would expect a pass to do...get you from one side of the mountains to the other. But Kebler Pass also provides some pretty great scenery too. One thing to remember though, it's Kebler Pass not Keebler Pass. There are no elves or... More

The aspen forests are amazing. Part dirt road part paved. Beautiful pass to either enter or leave Crested Butte

The Aspen this year were the most colorful in many years. The trip over Ohio pass into Kebler was spectacular as well.

Kebler Pass regularly gets touted as the best Fall color drive in all of Colorado, but until this year I've never had a chance to make the drive. We certainly got lucky this year. Sandwiched between two work trips, our only option was to go to Kebler Pass a week earlier than we normally drive to see the gorgeous Colorado... More
