The Bachelor Loop is a great experience. I recommend starting at the north end of town. You will understand why I say that when you round the first corner headed up towards the mines. If you don't have time to make the entire loop, just...More

Such an interesting, historical drive of the mining area. Drive slowly -- Keep looking up to see very old wooden structures associated with the mining. The rock formations and the creek running down the middle are very scenic.

Picture perfect every few yards we would stop and take pictures. The old mine was awesome from the bottom and from the top of the mine and museum. Be sure and bring something home from there.

Good road, just go slow. But why not, you could miss a view. No matter which way you turn there was an amazing view. Saw many wild flowers (one of my weaknesses). The changes of topography were fun to see. Imaging people living here years...More

If you are visiting Creede in the summer or Fall months, this is a must! The views are gorgeous and the air was crisp and clean. I loved seeing the old mines on the mountain ... some are still operating. You will need a 4...More

The Bachelor Loop Historic Tour is a 17-mile, go-at-your-own-pace, drive through the historic mining district above Creede. With the cliffs rising nearly 1,000 feet directly north of this area, first-time visitors are amazed at the views. The tour takes you across mine locations from the...More
