We did an "impulse stop" at the lighthouse on the way to the Beach. So glad we did as the climb to the top is worth seeing the Beach, Assateague, Chincoteague, Wallops Islands and the surrounding waters. We were fortunate to catch a glimpse of...More

Wide steps in this lighthouse led to wonderful views of Assateague and Chincoteague and some wild ponies if you are lucky. The staff was very friendly and willing to answer any questions. By donation so this is a good cheap activity to do with kids!

One of the great lighthouses. Small walk to a beautifully maintained light. If you're lucky you might see some wild ponies while visiting.
