Colorado Springs is home to America’s ONLY mountain zoo. Located at 6,800 feet above sea level, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo offers breathtaking views of the city and of its 750 animals. The unique design of the Zoo’s animal exhibits gets guests closer than ever before. Hand-feed one of the largest reticulated giraffe herds in the world, watch grizzlies swim with trout, hop next to red-necked wallabies and get hands on with some of the Zoo’s smaller residents in The Loft. Have a WILD adventure at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo – see the animals, ride an antique carousel, eat a gourmet lunch at the Grizzly Grill and ride the Mountaineer Sky Ride to the Zoo’s summit. Visit 365 days a year for family fun at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.

Well worth the price of admission ($19.75 ea.). This zoo really makes the most of the unique geography/topography. Pretty tightly laid out, but you don't really realize how close the different exhibits are to each other. Be prepared for the elevation (~ 6,000 ft. +)...More

This is a great place to visit. It is definitely one of our favorite. The best part was feeding the giraffes. Worth the extra few dollars!!

This is a great zoo with a very hands-on focus. Loved the giraffe feeding area, and the reptile exhibit was very unique. Great views of Colorado Spribgs.

This place is unreal! It's a zoo in the side of the mountain! Make sure you wear a good pair of hiking shoes or sneakers!

I am not normally a fan of going to the zoo (having been to the San Diego, Detroit and Milwaukee zoos). The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, however, is different and I would recommend going! The natural surroundings are beautiful. The interactive giraffe exhibit is so much...More

Really nice zoo. All the different animals and some I have never heard of. Lots of walking but it's a zoo. They do have driver provided golf cart tours for $2. Not a bad deal. This zoo is very clean and well maintained.

The giraffe's never disappoint. We come to the zoo two or three times a year and always have to feed these goofy creatures.

The mountain side location provides an interesting layout. Cool animals and beautiful views. Try the sky ride. A fun outing.
