The hot spring is au natural! Read into the history a little bit and I found out the locals actually wanted to do away with the hot springs at one point in time. Every time I've been it's been all smiles and solitude. It's an...More

Free to the public and not hard to find. I put "Penny hot springs" into Google maps and it took me right to it. Parking is right off of Hwy 133 and it's a very short walk down to the hot springs. I would recommend...More

Okay, this was harder to find than I thought, but a few locals told me that it's right around mile marker 54, and then we found it. Great little springs on the side of a river. Just FYI, the climb down is steep but short....More

Nice hot springs with a slight sulfur smell. The bighorn sheep and elk are right across the Crystal River. Can get busy at times. Nudity at times

Always a fun time. Sometimes the mountain goats are around. The river is down right now allowing for larger pools. Always fun meeting interesting people.

There are a few trails like Avalanche Creek Trail where you could hike in. As far as driving into a place, there are some places on the way to Marble that may be okay for that. You can also camp at Redstone Campground... More

Yes. It's not a real big area and there is not a lot of room to roam, and there can be a decent number of people. But yes, this is a public space that is not formally monitored with policies or enforcement. Free domain if... More
