This is a small museum but a lot of information. You could spend a couple hours reading all the information they have displayed. It is still the same layout so all the jail cells have different themes in them. It is located right next to...More

A lot of information, photos, props and actual pieces retained from prisons. Audio guide is available. The museum is a former state women's prison and it borders with the Colorado Territorial Correctional Facility. Have a look inside of a gas chamber actually used on prisoners!

The grandkids were thrilled with getting their pictures taken behind bars. We were humorously told to 'enjoy doing time here' by the receptionist. Both the grounds and inside all the cells, which had displays, were informative. The basement and the kitchen were interesting too.

This museum is in the old women’s prison. It is very interesting and informative. It shows how life was like in the prison and what the inmates did and how they lived. It’s a unique place. I would recommend it.

First prison museum I've been to....very unusual, interesting, informative. Close up exhibits in old cells. Lots of history you don't learn in school. You can go into the gas chamber. Gift shop. 2 for 1 coupons on Groupon.

The museum was very interesting. The history of the prison convinced us that we didn’t want to live there! The art work made by the prisoners was incredible.
