A narrow, one way road that is not suitable for RV's or over-size vehicles and that offers three miles of thrills.

Love this drive. Could be a little scary for those you are not used to mountain driving/shelf roads/drop offs but I guess I am getting used to that sort of thing! The views of the surrounding areas are fantastic! A couple of family members took...More

This is an interesting drive on a 1 lane road that travels the ridge. There are interesting views, and it doesn't cost anything. Do it if you're there, but don't drive 100 miles out of your way.

Thank goodness the drive is only a few miles. It is exhilarating and breathtaking. If you are afraid of heights think twice about driving but it's definitely worth it to try. My husband was the driver and he is afraid of heights so he stayed...More

A smooth easy drive to calm the mind and relax the nerves. If you go on it during the end of the day, you can catch the sunset as it begins to fall behind the Rocky Mountains which is a sight that will take your...More

This road is a one way road starting on Hwy 50 and going up and over the rims of the mountains for about 3 miles. It is steep but not at all terrifying like some make it out to be. There a pull outs and...More

Went rafting and instead of driving the usual I50 back to Canon City took this 15 minute diversion. Great views on both sides of mountain. Birds eye view of historic downtown and road drops you off right into it. Don't go if afraid of heights,...More

Nice short scenic drive in the Canon City area. The road is pretty high, and there are sometimes nothing on either side (there are no railings), and it is kind of scary. However, the view you have of the city on the left is nice....More

This drive was very interesting. Dinosaurs track from over 100 million years. Good views of Canon City, CO and surrounding valley. It's a short drive, 3 miles, on a one way surfaced road with pull offs for viewing.

Our guides from the Royal Gorge zip line told us about this and we're so glad we did it. Beautiful views and cliffs on both sides, along with dinosaur prints, all made for a great spontaneous side trip.

I would not try it. There's a tight turn at the end that takes you back (down) in the opposite direction. In addition, wind can be an issue with a high-profile vehicle. It's not windy everyday, but this is the Front Range of... More
