Why not go. It's frigging free! Terrific views from this totally free park in Canon city, CO the drive is easy to miss but look for it and double back if you need to. It is worth it. You can see a really cool sunset from up there. Truly amazing. Must see and must do.

The road was twisty and the views amazing. At the top you can see on both sides. Canon City on one side and mountains on the other. Loved it

Skyline Drive, just west of Canon City is an awesome drive!!! It's a narrow one lane (one way) road across the top of a ridge on the west side of town. The views are spectacular on both sides of the Drive. It's not for the faint of heart, but it's a fun drive!! I'd definitely recommend it!!

Beautiful drive on the ridge! It was a very clear day and we stopped and walked the ridge at the pull off area!

If you really want to enjoy the view from Skyline Drive, get someone else to drive so you can look around. However, there are places to park so you can spend time visiting trails and dinosaur information markers.

This is a hill top view that overlooks Canon City, CO. Used to live in Canon City and always made it a point to take visitors here. We return whenever we go back to see CC. It's just a short drive upward. Not for those that are fearful of heights. Highly recommend all visitors check this point of view out.

The drive short but full of adventure. The road is narrow, but safe. Stop at the different view points and read the information panels. Wow- gives you a real insight as to what you are looking at. Yes inverted dinosaur prints - look hard for them, there is a sign. Enjoy!

This road is an excellent alternative to get to Canon City. Nice pull offs to stop and look down on the town and its free!

Just outside of Canon City, Colorado is the inauspicious gateway to one of the most highly rated roads to drive in the United States. Drive through, it's free and full of more thrills than a roller coaster. The road was build in the early 1900's by prisoners from one of the many prisons in Canon City, it remains in much... More
