Wonderful views and location! Near town, but you feel way out of town in the mountains. The non-motorized lake is gorgeous and easily accessible from the campground. Saw many people fishing. Nice private spread out sites in aspens and evergreens. The only complaint would be...More

My family has so much fun at Cottonwood! We hike, fish, picnic, splash, stargaze and more up there. It's our go to spot for "I'm bored!". Love the views.

We probably had high expectation because I read all the good reviews. It wasn't worth the drive to the lake for us.

Beautiful mountain lake. Not the biggest lake but great for hiking, picnicking or fishing. Pretty close to town and worth the drive out there.

This lake has plenty of room for boating (non-motorized), kayaking, paddle-boarding, tubing, fishing, and hiking. Right now there is BEAUTIFUL Autumn colour!

The drive there is not great but as soon as you reach your destination, the views will take your breath away. Great place for camping, fishing, picnic and exploring with kids.

The lake is lovely however small.Worth a look around leave changing time. Lots of lakes in Colorado look just like this and are about the same size.
