This is a great place if you like to fish or have an easy hike. Great place to take little kids to explore. Parking is limited but very few people will venture to this place because it is not hard core hiking. I enjoyed sitting...More

The Sawmill Reservoir hike is an easy and scenic introduction to hiking in Summit County. It is right in Breckenridge at the Snowflake lift. The trail is well marked with good tread and parallels Sawmill Creek. It's about ½ mile in distance and a very...More

This trail is really the best of both worlds-short enough for kids and older adults, yet beautiful and filled with excellent picture taking opportunities! We ran into some locals who told us it is a favorite spot for moose, but we did not see any...More

If you want to do a hike while in Breckenridge, then I recommend the Sawmill Reservoir pathway. It begins under the Snowflake Lift (4 O’Clock Road & Kings Crown Road) and ascends from there. The terrain is pretty easy and the gurgling creek is so...More

Great hiking trail. We are in our 80's and found the trail not difficult. We enjoyed this hike very much. The trail is along a beautiful river and we saw a weasel.

It's a good, simple trail. I was expecting a bit more of a challenge. But it is scenic and shaded for much of it. The lake at the end is nice, but you can also drive to it. I continued up the mountain for a...More

It was a nice short easy walk. The reservoir is small and pretty. We continued on and looped around. We saw a fox along the way. We also saw some beautiful homes.

I think it took us an hour and a half. We also took a break at the pond.
