Easy peasy!

I haven't skied in over 7 years so I didn't want to over do it. Stayed at Peak 9 for a bit - it was nice, easy green trails - decent length to get you warmed up! I then ventured to the Peak8 and that was awesome too!

We stay at the Marriott Mountain Valley Resort which is right by Maggie Pond and the Quicksilver Express lift to Peak 9. This mountain has plenty of green slopes for the beginning skier and snowboarder. You can also get access to blue and black diamond trails from several of the connections along the peak. In addition, there is the Peak... More

This is one of the large and popular peaks to start your ski day from. There are several shops and some food venues to choose from at the base and parking is ok if you are there early in the morning. Nice place to have a off-season conference or family reunion. Very close to town and within walking distance of... More

My first time skiing was here a few years ago, it was a great experience, however, now that I'm a better skier I would have loved to start on peak 8 that is easier, peak 9 has more difficult runs not good for beginners, at the top of the mountain you can find The Overlook bar which is great for... This slope has something for everyone! From beginner to access to double black diamond! And, not as crowded as some of the others that have large parking lots near them!

Some families in f our group had little children with them. This was one of the highlights of their trip to Breckenridge. they spent the whole day up there. lots of activities and entertainments. Nice sitting area too and for those who are interested in food, there are a couple of options there. Nice hiking paths .

Fun area. Enjoyed just looking around and hanging out. Check it out and enjoy the views. You can look across the valley and see the opposite side during sunset. Very nice. Afternoon thunderstorms can shorten your stay on the hill; don't be caught on the hill with lightning. Heed the warning of the locals. Hope that helps.

Peak 9 has something for everyone, especially children and beginners. The Quicksilver lift takes you up and it is all green/easy runs coming down or you can grab another lift to blues and blacks. When you come down under the Quicksilver lift there are two fun "through the tree" trails called Riparoo's Run and the Haunted Forest. My kids had... More
