We took this hike after arriving the night before out of Denver. On paper, the hike did not look too bad for being in reasonable shape. We found ourselves breathing hard on the journey due to altitude adjustment from the midwest. The trail demanded us...More

It’s always a pleasure to walk the grounds of Boulder’s lovely Chautauqua Park. It has such a friendly and relaxing vibe. Our recent visit was mainly for a breakfast at the Chautauqua Dining Hall, but the walk to and from was delightful.

Had a good early morning hike for 2 hours. It’s fairly steep and has a lovely view. I felt quite safe as there were others on all routes.

There is one main trial up to the flatirons. However, check it out on google maps. This place is an opening to many other trails that go to other mountains. A great starting point, but be prepared to park a bit far away if you...More

Visited quite recently and it is a good place to go to, it opens early and is easy to find, parking good although in the summer it could get busy, good trails to hike on and well marked, general store and hotel. The auditorium was...More

The nature center is worth visiting and the ranger is knowledgable and friendly. There can be many hikers on weekends, but people are respectful of others and the environment. Great area to hike when you want to be off the bazillion paved "trails" in the...More

My daughter and I hiked this trail and it was a beautiful hike and gorgeous weather. It was not too difficult but it did really get our heart rate up and was a good walking work out!!

Our daughter lives close to the park. It's so amazing to have this great place so close to home. The hikes will tire you out. So be prepared.

We enjoyed hiking here. The trail that we chose had a steep elevation - that will get you winded! We saw large deer while out on the trail too.

Main trailhead to most of Boulders best hikes. Great moderate hikes and jam-packed with good views!!

You want to be dropped off at the front of the main hall, a large white building at the top of the hill overlooking the expanse of the park. That is where the restaurant is located as well as the rest rooms. From there it is... More

No, there is no camping nor are there RV hookups but they do rent super nice cottages with kitchens and easy access to their dining hall, auditorium, hiking trails, picnic area etc.
