Drove this from 101 to get to the 5 going south toward home after a two week road trip. It was a beautiful drive with the road winding along the Trinty River. Lots of breath taking views. Big downer, road work, every two the 3...More

Fun, delightful place and great food at reasonable prices!! Do not pass on the sausage and gravy biscuits! Really enjoyed this restaurant! Right on the Main St., it is the best!

The scenery is lovely but the road is very winding so slow down to enjoy the view. Not as pretty as Alaska (where I live) but lovely nonetheless. Enjoyed the slower pace, vistas and fresh air.

While I would have preferred the ride on two wheels it is nevertheless a very scenic ride in a car too. I love water and the rivers around here are gorgeous.

We drove through on business but the gorgeous scenery and snowy mountains made it a vacation! Hazardous driving in the snow I'm sure but this is country not to be missed. Absolutely beautiful with lots of recreation in good weather.

A must if you like beautiful scenery..Absolutely breathtaking. It was rainy and gloomy for the drive but that did not take away from the view. The fog added a nice touch.

This is superb drive through the redwoods, from Redding though Weaverville and on to the coast. The road is gently winding, skirts high above a river and has relatively little traffic.

This a beautiful drive, unfortunately for us most views were obscured by haze and smoke from the recent wildfires. Impressive none the less

We drove form Weavervill on Hwy 3 till it connects with Hwy 5. You are mostly going through evergreen forest. There are some glimpses of Trinity lake which is very low in water. This is depressing to see. Toward the end you come out in...More

This is one of the most beautiful highways in the West. It has it all--lovely vistas, lakes, waterfalls and colorful towns. Besides generally beautiful scenery, some attractions heading west from Alturas Ca include: Burney Falls, Lake Shasta and Lake Shasta Caverns. Shasta State Historical Park...More

There are several small towns along the way, but you should have at least a half tank of gas before you start as there is nothing available through the mountain passes. We had that and needed to gas up in Trinity before... More
