Sandwiched between the wawona stables and the Big trees lodge this slice of American history doesn't fail to disappoint. From one of the few covered bridges in the west coast area to great examples of Stagecoach's and many original buildings showing the development of the...More

We passed through the historic area on our way to a hike so didn't stop while the buildings were open. However, on our return pass-through, we were still able to walk past the historic buildings. The signage was excellent so we were still able to...More

We really enjoyed our visit to this little village which takes you through various times in Yosemite history. The pamphlet gives you detailed information about each building. We were able to print it online and take it with us. The area is very serene unless...More

Relaxing and educational spot for adults and children, an easy stroll among several building and a covered bridge from the time period. Provides a good picture of how pioneers lived. Well worth a visit and can't beat the price, free.

The covered bridge was excellent. The village buildings were all closed, it would have been nice to look inside without having to peer through the Windows. Good for a half hour stroll.

I was impressed with the preservation of these authentic buildings, wagons and hand tools. It gives you a real appreciation of the rugged pioneers' spirit to survive the winters. Very well done ... and FREE!

Very Interesting to walk through a covered bridge and to see all the old cabins and stores. In was also interesting to look at the different trees.

Some of the things are closed during the winter, but there is still plenty to see, and definitely worth the visit. You may need to bring chains for your tires.

While it is closed during Christmas, you can still wander the property. From the parking lot, you cross a handmade covered bridge! Amazing what they accomplished in the 1800's. Well worth your time if you are interested in history.

You don't have to be a history buff to enjoy this little village. Entered through a cover d bridge this is a cluster of relocated building from within Yosemite, several houses and homesteads, a jail, stables, blacksmith and others. You can also enjoy a stagecoach...More

I would check online as they likely change depending on the time of year and weather.
