This nature area is a short walk or drive from the center of town- take Lyford Dr or Esperanza and prepare to feel your heart pounding as you prod up the steep hills. The trail entrances are obvious and there isn't just one trail. Dozens...More

Amazingly beautiful views, fair amount of people walking dogs, lovely small walk. If you need to get out and get a bit more exercise, hike there up the hills from town. That round trip should take 40 min.

Marin County is justly famous for its natural beauty carefully preserved from over-development over the last 50 years. Tiburon's natural treasure is Old St Hilary's Open Space--122 acres of open land at the end of the Tiburon peninsula with sweeping, stunning 360 degree views of...More

We were heading out and needed a stretch before we left...and it was on the list so a shirt drive, would be a steep walk. Up the hill we parked and walked. I see from the map that like much of Marin this would be...More

The little chapel of Laura Ingalls come to mind when i first saw the church. Perched up in the open space above the hills of mansions and multi million dollar homes, somehow made this little church even more dignified in its simple white facade. Popular...More

Nice but sometimes windy hikes with views of San Francisco Bay and the Godlen Gate Bridge. Bring your camera.

We had a group of friends who gathered at a home in Tiburon. Although most of us are nearing 70 years old, we thought this up and down short walk was the highlight of the day. It was a spectacular day in San Francisco and...More

I head up this way all the time. I'm putting September 2016 down but I've been hiking this open space for 3 years. It's terrific. The view changes all the time from fog to sun, to ships slowly moving across the bay and out the...More

It takes some work to get to this park, and that probably helps it be such an unspoiled, peaceful place (along with a reasonable parking fee). It features a beautiful rolling green lawn that gently slopes down to a fishing pier. At the top are...More

I walk here every day. Tiburon is a beautiful city and we love living here. It's small but worth driving in to see the gorgeous views.

The Open Space Preserve by Old St Hilary's (got married there in 1990:) is a fine spot to view San Francisco skyline out to the Golden Gate Bridge-over to the Marin Headlands & Mt Tam. Well worth the short hike up to this lovely spot!

Hi Rosanna, you should be able to see it from the ferry. It is possible to go up on foot. There are few routes to go up, by the library and' or the Elephant Rock, (longer but not too steep) or the more straight forward one... More
