This is a wonderful winery. Great wines, nice tasting room. It is one of the oldest in the area, I believe. Staff are all knowledgeable and friendly. While you are there you have to take time to visit the llamas. The staff gave us a cut up apple to feed them and it was so much fun. Mom is a little shy but her son is quite outgoing. The whole experience was wonderful and made our day.

Traveling through central coast wine country one excellent light lunch option is a stopover on a winery that offers some food. Wild Horse is an excellent option. The tasting room personnel are very friendly and attentive. Their wine taste flights are cheaper than other places and the fee, as usual, is waved if a bottle purchase is made. They have many varietals, not only from this Templeton terroir but from other places and their taste can be enjoyed in a shaded patio with plenty of parking space outside. The wines (our was a selection of six)were good, not spectacular , and ended up buying a bottle of their signature Wild Horse brand as a souvenir. Their local cheese and charcuterie table was an excellent pairing to their wines

Staff was wonderful and so friendly. They offer lots of tasting options (at a small price), and their merlot and varietals are wonderful. Enjoyed sir sitting area and bean bag toss game in their courtyard.

We had a last minute change of plans after the fires in Napa and found ourselves in Paso Robles. We arrived at our hotel at 3:30pm and were looking for a winery nearby that we could make it into before the day ended. We had both heard of Wild Horse and it was very close by so we popped in just before 4pm. The vineyard is beautiful and they have a great patio to enjoy the wine outside. I appreciated the "build your own tasting" option as very few other wineries allow this and it allows you to craft something to your own liking. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of wine and ended up purchasing a few bottles. The service was great - our hostess was super friendly and let us take our time even though we showed up towards the end of the day. I'd definitely recommend a visit here! The Dolly Llama red blend was our favorite.

We were heading for the main road from a B&B and decided to stop. Small shop and we were the only ones there. Wines were okay but nothing I was buying to take home. Countryside there is beautiful and we met one of the friendliest cats of our trip in the parking lot.

We went with a group of friends to wine taste at Wild Horse and I was very impressed with their wine and staff. There was only one person serving at the time, but she was very efficient and fun. We had a great time and next time we go to Paso Robles we'll make sure to wine taste there again!

Wild Horse is a large producer with a tasting room south of the main drags in Paso Robles. I've been to Paso several times, but never made the time to visit Wild Horse since they were a little more out of the way.

The tasting room is relatively small. Nothing scenic or special to talk about, but OK. The tasting fee is $10, but you get comp'ed with a bottle purchase, so that's fair. They do provide crackers in the tasting room.

To be honest I just was not that impressed with the wine. Supposedly we were tasting their reserves, but I just expected more. Now we did not taste any Pinot Noirs. I get the impression that maybe that's what they specialize in, so maybe that's why we were underwhelmed.

Overall on OK visit, but nothing I feel the need to go back and do again.

I love this place, I love the wine, I love the people, I love it! For me, it is hard to look at any other winery with an unbiased opinion because I'm always comparing the others to Wild Horse.

I know wine is a very personal thing, everyone has different tastes, but in my opinion, this one was excellent. The staff were knowledgeable and very friendly and wine was delicious. This os actually one of the oldest wineries in the Paso Robles area. I believe it was number 7 out of the now approx. 300 wineries in the area.

I have enjoyed Wild Horse wines for years. This was not our favorite winery and honestly, I felt let down from the moment we entered the gates. The property was mundane, as was the tasting room. I would say it is okay but not what I expected.
