The Best Winery Experience in Sonoma

A beautiful property, botanical gardens and superb wines, especially the Brut de Noirs. Kurt is a great host and guide. But the winery was recently sold and I'm heartbroken.

the tour was good, but the wines were exceptional. We were 9 woman and everyone of us loved the wines. It is currently up for sale. It's a beautiful location and not to be missed. Thank you!

This stop is a must! Kurt was an amazing host. So informative. The gardens are spectacular and everything is laid back. The taste pours are large. You need to make a reservation to visit.

Don't waste your time unless you have planned well in advance otherwise no one will even be there! What a joke, shouldn't you be open on a Saturday early aft on if you want to make a profit and gain customers?! Waste of time.

The grounds are spectacular. Kurt was our guide and he provided so much personal information about the family and the winery. We tasted wine in the family living room. It was so intimate and personal. The Champagne was one of the best I have ever had. You need reservations and this is so worth your time!

I just moved to San Francisco a few months ago and I brought my family from Buffalo, NY to Sonoma for the wine country experience. We had a fantastic time at Robert Hunter. It was our first experience in California wine country and it was exceptional and unique. We started with a tour of the house and grounds, which are... More

Being in wine country, we obviously visited many wineries. This by far was our group's favourite. The tour was as unique as the beautiful property. Great history about the family. Being invited into the living room for our tasting was amazing. At first we thought it may be awkward, but our hosts were so welcoming, animated and very knowledgeable. If... More

I chose Robert Hunter winery because I am more interested in the scenery than the actual wine tasting and the garden there is a beautiful place to spend an hour sipping excellent wines. There is a $25 tasting fee which does not apply to any wine purchased, but the pourings are generous and the experience is more than worth it.... More

Our tour guide, Kurt, definitely has a passion for the Hunter family and winery. They keep their tour participants to a small group because this winery is actually a private home. We were led around the beautiful gardens (some flowers and trees were over 200 years old). The gardens are in pristine condition and to hear the history of how... More

We were so lucky to have found this Gem. My group was looking for top end Pinot Noir and found it at Robert Hunter Winery. The tour of the garden was a great way to warm up to Kurt and the history of this place. We loved everything about this 1.5 hour experience. Can't wait to drink the wine we... More
