Walter Shug started this place to make wine. He did a great job. Wines made in the European style. Great history and wine. They do a very nice Pinot and a good Chardonnay. Small friendly place to taste wine.

Schug Carneros Estate goes to great lengths to make a quality Pinot Noir, and their efforts are your reward. The winery tour & visit has never been the focus of the estate, but now that the heirs of the estate have worked out their differences,...More

Our last vineyard stop, we were more interested in their self-guided tour through the vineyards, but be prepared for extreme heat and sunshine! The bartender was super fun; there was no push for buying anything (unlike most other vineyards). We got to try a late...More

It was the smallest of the tasting rooms we visited on a busy Saturday, but very enjoyable because of that. We were able to take our time and the person pouring for us that day let us taste a few things not on their normal...More

This was a must visit for me because I'm a big fan of their Pinot Noir. The tasting room was small for the 10 of us but we went early enough and we were the only ones in it. Not sure anyone else would be...More

We found this place only by recommendation. It's a cute little winery hidden up the mountain a bit and off the beaten path. I highly recommend you stop in. Great Pinot niors and Chardonnay!
