The Underwood family have been farming in Ventura County for decades. The Somis Farm is a destination point for farm fresh produce and the are numerous activities for everyone. October is Pumpkin Patch and Hay rides. There are small animals to pet and always a fun place to take visiting family and friends for a 'through-back" experience.

We loved picking our own berries - they tasted great, there was a large crop to pick from, they were affordable, and we had fun. Afterward, my kids enjoyed playing on the wooden train/sandbox, feeding the animals, and walking around. Would have been nice if the kids were able to pet the animals, too, but that is not permitted at... More

If you want the best locally grown produce you can't do any better than Underwoods in Somis and Moorpark. There is also a great petting zoo for kids.

We stop at Underwood Farms every time we drive from Los Angeles to the central coast. For the fruit and veggies, also the farm animals. Great place for kids to feed the goats! See what I just did? Seriously, this is the farm that grows the peppers for the famous Sriracha Hot Sauce, and you can buy bottled that name... More

A stop at Underwoods Farm is a nice treat for all ages, but especially for kids who may not realize where all of that grocery store produce comes from. Petting zoo with farm animals is neat. Can buy fresh produce and even go self picking in the field patch for the berries of the season. Fun outing. ...

Underwood farm is a must stop for me each time I come into Somis. It is not only a place to buy fresh veggies and fruit but I get to see the billygoats who love to walk on 2x4's high above the ground. Oh and there is a lama too which loves carrots. There is also Blackberries you can pick... More

After feeding all the animals who love the treats, it's fun to grab a container and just wonder in the field. There are bees which is a little scary but the fruit taste so good, and is cheaper then in the story.

My mom and I look forward to going here and picking blueberries every year. I think you eat more than you put in the basket when you pick, but that's half the fun. Great thing to do with the whole family. Bring wet wipes or something for afterwards though because you get a bit dirty.
