Wonderful location, neat to see owner walking about and talking to the guests. The wine was very good and they had some very good values. I would come here in a second for a bridal shower or something like that it looks like it could be wonderful. It also appears that the owner gives the guided tours of the winery,... More

I have been to wineries all over California and by far Rideau Vineyard is the best! Not only are the wines award winning quality but the land itself is beautifully breath taking. The tasting room is inside a beautiful house that is draped in roses and also a historic landmark. The wines are refreshing, very crisp and delicious. Just in... More

We were going to Solvang, the quaint Danish inspired village up by Santa Barbara, so decided to check out the Rideau Winery. It was founded by Iris Rideau who hailed from New Orleans. We had a very pleasant time tasting the wine and chatting with Seth who was behind the bar. The setting is gorgeous and the wine is tasty.... More

The grounds and house are beautiful and worth the trip and the server knowledgeable and pleasant. As far as wines my wife and I differ, she so-so and me good. We both liked the Viognier but at a price point of $40 per bottle (less if you are in the wine club) above my budget. Other wines I liked but... More

We did the tour and tasting at Rideau during our trip up the coast. Shay was our guide, and he was very knowledgeable. He knew a great deal about grapes and wine in general which he combined with his knowledge of Rideau. You are given several tastings during the walking tour of the vineyard and the operations. The tour concludes... More

Shay was our tour guide and he is outstanding. The complete tour is about two hours and you enjoy excellent wines and learn how they are made. Start and finish in the main building. The tour includes showing how they develop the grapes and the how.why they do the entire process. You finish back in the adobe tasting room where... More

Hands down one of my favorite vineyards! Everything about it makes me smile. It's very inviting with a fun vibe and great atmosphere. Definitely not for the bougie and I'm glad. I've visited a few times so I guess you can say I'm a regular. If I lived nearby I'd probably hang out there every weekend.lol This is a boutique... More

This was the first stop on our 3,400 plus mile vacation. Never having visited a winery, I wasn't sure what to expect, but we could not have been more pleased. Our guide, Norma was delightful and well versed on all aspects of the winery.

Reza lead our tour and we learned so much about the wine making process. The wine they make is delicious and we took home a giant growler of their wine on tap. The educational component made it the perfect start to our wine tasting weekend. This has to be one of the best value Groupons we've purchased.

Not only is this historic adobe and vinyard beatiful and relaxing to visit, the staff are personable and have an amazing memory for preferences! I'm a fan of reds, and Iris Rideaux has been making some excellent ones for years. Her expensive reds are (of course) exquisite.. but she also makes a terrific blend known as 'Bon Temps' which is...
