Excellent place to try wine and craft beer/cider. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable of wine and beer and guide you through. We tried some excellent cider and cream beer for something different from all the wine tastings. The space is cozy and warm and they have live music and meet the wine maker events. Highly recommended.

Alfred is wonderful at his craft. He is very knowledgeable and makes you feel right at home. My husband ,friend and I went here for pre-dinner wine and we were delighted. The atmosphere is like being in someone's home wine cellar, cozy and relaxed. We were allowed to taste before we bought and that is important to us. The Good... More

My wife and I visited in March and we found ourselves back in Solvang this past weekend. We couldn't leave town without stopping in to visit our newly crowned favorite spot in Solvang. The owner, Alfred, greeted us upon arrival and made several recommendations based on our tastes. We ordered a cheese platter that had lots of variety. We had... More

This place has a wonderful atmosphere right on the main street. They have a wonderful selection of local wines and craft beers. We went to several tasting rooms and this by far was our favorite. Lisa knew so much about the wines and it was like talking to my own personal wine adviser.

The couple that runs this place are just simply fun to be around! They were also very knowledgable and the selection was great. It's a small shop though appointed in a way that is still welcoming to sit and stay awhile (versus some of the tasting rooms that are standing room only). We'll be sure to visit again.

My wife and I stopped in this exquisite wine cellar as the town was quieting down on a Sunday night. Alfred, the owner, greeted us immediately and showed us his local wine and beer list. The atmosphere of this hidden tasting room is warm and inviting. You could sit here for hours and sip the night away. I had an... More

We stumbled in here intentionally as we had been here before for the previous ownership. Inside it looks nearly the same. It's very small and they would do well to add more seating. I appreciate the look of the couch in front of the fireplace but the fact is they could add more tables by removing it. I saw a... More

During a recent weekend in Solvang we were visiting a tasting room. When we were done there, we asked the bar attendant if he could recommend another spot to us. He recommended The Good Life. When we walked in we immediately felt at home in the cozy undrground basement like space. My wife and I sat on the couch along... More

We visited the place on a Thursday night and enjoyed it - we were served by Lisa, the owner, who was quite nice. The next day, we visited it during the Solvang WineWalk, and there was a barman instead of Lisa. Possibly because we were on the WineWalk, the guy was totally unfriendly, treated us quite bad, poured us the... More
