It broke my heart to see the water down 40 or 50 feet. It is such a pristine area with clear water. I hope we can reverse global warming.

Many of your lakes in Northern California are within the Shata Trinity National Forest. Many wonders and beauty to be see and explored. Hike a short distance or for days, fishing, boating, photos, stories to write and tell. Friendly people and amazing place in all of our State and National Parks.

I would have given five stars if campfires were allowed. I get that the fire danger is currently at extreme level, but it's so mocking to camp in a nice site with a great looking fire pit and not even get to use it! I expected to be able to have a fire, so our meals were campfire based, and... More

There are some monster trout and if you can handle the freeze swimming! It is tucked back off the road and is less traveled but super fun to have lunch and fish/swim/camp...it can be very refreashing.

Haven't been there in years due to the fact that we always frequent Shasta Lake since it's 2 1/2 miles from home. Trinity was a nice, wide open lake. Good fishing usually, but crawling up Buckhorn Summit to get there pulling a boat is a pain. They are now starting construction on 299 to straighten that stretch so that would... More
