Have visited the trails several times in the last few weeks, they are all good for kids 3 and up. We spend on average 1.5 hours when hiking or you can just enjoy the lawn in front of the villa playing fresbee or reading a...More

The carriage House venue with only 300 seats is an intimate, comfortable setting for small concerts. I recently saw Jimmy Webb here and it was perfect-no bad seat in the house. Outside in the summer you can't drive up to the Villa, you have to...More

An excellent line-up of performances every year, with variety from Hawaiian guitar to opera and grand piano. A real resource for the area.

Villa Montalvo has been a center for beautiful and powerful people for a century. Now used as a retreat and convention sight, many of the original landscape and architecture details are still intact

This is one of the nicest venues in the San Francisco Bay area. Great sightlines and very historic. Very organized with decent prices for beer and food. Plus it's a nonprofit. Highly recommended venue.

We took the lookout trail and looped down through the redwood trail. It was a lovely walk with a 3 yo and a baby. The grounds are stunning and beg for a picnic. We'll be back!

The perfect wedding spot... here for a friends wedding... beautiful grounds, patio, lawn area for the ceremony.. We dined on the surrounding patio of the villa and dancing inside.. in the hills of Saratoga. Not familiar with the Arts Center of this venue!

This property is great to spend an hour, or a few, just walking around, or hiking some trails in the back. Ample free parking. Used to have GREAT jazz concerts in the evenings. Now, just mediocre, although the venue is still magnificent for an evening...More

Planning to do a Channel Island sea cave kayaking day trip at the end of July, with my 18-yo son. Both beginner kayakers but in decent shape. Hope to visit Painted Cave if possible. Can anyone tell me the difference between the various outfitters (Channel Islands Outfitters, Santa Barbara Adventures, Aquasports....)? Really hard to tell the difference on their websites. Thank you!
