The Lakes are a unique feature of Santee that are ideal for both adults and kids. Many come here just to exercise by walking and other utilize the opportunity to fish. A little store is available to buy your fishing bait and other necessaries.

I love to take my dogs for a walk around the lakes. Plan on staying some weekend, as now they have very nice cabins. Areas for the kids to play and fishing. Does get warm in the summer.

The park was full, but there is soooo much space, we weren't bothered by any loud noises. We stayed a week ~ fished and did the paddle boats and the crazy kids played in the pool. Make reservations early!
