High quality wines and winery

You have to bust this winery on every trip to the valley. Outstanding wine, very polished staff and a great atmosphere when you visit.

Pleasantly surprised as this was our first stop in this area. Lovely winery, friendly and knowledgable staff, good red wine (we did not taste the whites). It is a bit of a drive, but worth it. Started the day here and worked our way back down thru Santa Ynez. We would return again.

This place is a bit out of the way in the Santa Ynez Mountains but such a great retreat when you arrive. It's barn style tasting room is welcoming and friendly. We were greeted and served by an awesome staff and the GM, Paul, who went out of his way to chat it up with us. We enjoyed the flight... More

Nice location. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice picnic tables but bring your own food they do not sell any. Wines are average and pricey. Still worth a visit.

The Reserve Syrah was the highlight here, but nothing else excelled wine wise. Of the 10 in our group we only bought 2 bottles.

A little off the beaten path, cool big building with outdoor seating... Diana was awesome! Great wines; prefer the Reds. If you go for a bike ride there, please take your cleats off before entering the tasting room. The candles smell amazing!! The wine tastes even better.... Enjoy!

Zaca Mesa has been a winery with great Syrah / Z Cuvee for many years. Then they started producing very solid white wines as well. Fantastic wines, and a great winery setting as well.

Very friendly staff who knew their wines. I tasted the reds since that is what i prefer to drink. Perhaps I should have tried their whites. The wines were not bad just not to my tasting. I would still recommend this winery. Beautiful outside area as well.

When people ask me about Zaca Mesa I tell them that IF the hippies from Haight Ashbury had left San Francisco and were driving their truck south ... and it turned over as it went around the curve ... this is the winery they would have established. My point is that it is surprising. Surprising in a good way. The... More
