My boyfriend and I booked an impromptu couples massage without having read any reviews of Alchemie. We were pleasantly surprised that the offered organic products and were unpretentious while still being luxurious. We can't wait to book a full spa retreat next time!

I was in Santa Monica for a business trip and was thrilled to find an organic spa that offerred nails. I have very sensitive skin and have to avoid conventional nail salons so I considered this quite the treat. I booked the "Alchemie Mani/Pedi" at $150. From the description it sounded luxurious. I have been to a fair number of... More

Techs are very friendly and skilled, spa seemed very clean. Good location for visiting Santa Monica Pier. Should have asked for harder pressure (which is my own fault) and sounded like someone outside my room was washing dishes midway through my massage. Otherwise enjoyable.

My wife and I came in on our honeymoon for a couples massage at Alchemie Spa. Neither of us ever really get massages, so this was a nice treat, although I thought it was a bit expensive at $220 (which didn't include gratuity). The massage itself was pretty good. As I mentioned above, we don't often get massages, so I... More

We stopped into their shop during our visit to Santa Monica. This spa was recommended by a friend, who is a local. They offer an excellent selection of skincare products. We especially liked the 'Body Deli' fresh superfood skincare facial cremes and body lotion. They are top notch! Do stop by when you are in Santa Monica!

Wife had a wonderful relaxing and much needed massage while on vacation. The staff was friendly and the surroundings very nice. She would go back if we where in the area.

While on a recent trip to LA, I had some free time while my boyfriend worked. I found a deal on Travelzoo for this spa and figured I'd try it out - best case I'd have a great afternoon of pampering and worse case I'd lose some money on spa services (and I'd never have to go back). I was... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
