Pleasure Point is quite unique. Stroll along the cliff edge and plop yourself on a bench to view surfers and sunbathers below. The erosion-protecting seawall which was constructed several years ago blends into the environment in what is some of the most rapidly eroding coastline...More

Moran Lake and Pebble Beach were a short walk from our rental home, and walked down there with our grandson every say. A surfer and dog walking paradise, lots of sand for pail and stone collecting...and a generally wonderful place to walk, watch the tide...More

Wide sidewalks and gorgeous views of waves (and surfers) make this a great walking spot, but not a good beach; those are accessible at low tide only.

We arrived as the sun set. Somehow, on Monterey Bay, the sun rises and sets over the water, or nearly so. Surfers were catching moderate waves, little dogs were walking their humans, runners were running and the water, sunlight, breeze, wild flowers made this the...More

Great place to watch surfers or stop while walking or bicycling along the road, bit not a sand beach. Excellent tide pool experience at low tide, but you will become dirty in the muck of seaweed and sand and algae.

This is the first time I have been at a west coast beach and all I can say is "WOW". I could not believe absolutely breathtaking the beach and Pacific Ocean are. I pray I can visit California again and spend more time in Santa...More

You cant go too wrong with any beach in Santa Cruz and Please Point is one stop you should make. Its a bit of a local spot, so if you looking for the touristy sport, go to the boardwalk, but this is worth the drive.

We had just watched surfers and volleyball players at another beach and now we wanted to just relax on sit on the beach and this wasn’t an ideal spot. It sure looks like a surfer hot spot though.

The surf at Pleasure Point is great, but all the local surfers (particularly the middle-aged to older men) are very rude. They clearly don't like seeing 'new' people around the beach. I go to UCSC and routinely get hassled by the older men surfing here....More

We arrived to find this area busy with tourists. As we walked toward town I noticed an access to the beach. We explained that we were visiting from Colorado and asked for directions to the beach. A kind family escorted us in the passage way...More

Nothing happening at the Point this week, but the surf is good. If you don't surf, take a lesson from Bud at Santa Cruz surf school, a very local boy. Capitola has free Wed. Music and the Boardwalk has free music on Friday... More
