Great way to spend a few hours. Lots of quirky shops to browse in and the sea lions are always a hit. They have some really good food on the wharf hitting all the price points. The various restaurants have amazing views and haven't disappointed...More

The seals halfway out are very entertaining, and you can get pretty close to them (from the perch above). The view of the bay is great. But the stores are touristy and parking is expensive and hard to get close.

We came to have lunch but even better than the food was seeing the beautiful seals and sea lions! They're simply adorable! Nice view of the boardwalk. Stagnaro was a bit overrated and it would have been nice if they allowed restaurants to validate parking.

As stated in other reviews it's a wharf. There are souvenir shops and restaurants starting about half way down. We didn't stop at any of them but watched the fishermen, people in kayaks, surfers and of course the sea lions. There are a set of...More

I was surprised by the empty stores on the Santa Cruz wharf and thought it seemed a little rundown. It was clear that some restaurants and shops had closed, while the remaining stores were pretty touristy. We enjoyed watching lifeguards dive off the side of...More

I wanted to take my son here to see barking sea lions. He loved hearing them from a distance and then getting to peak through the cut outs in the wharf to spy on them. We were able to see quite a few of them...More

My son had a great time catching anchovies, and everyone enjoyed the antics of the sea lions. Lots of nice shops and restaurants too.

What more is there to say? A lot. One the left hand side, about the middle, there is a place were the sea lions hang out and it is fun to watch them roll into the water. Sometimes you can even go down and get...More

There are some retail shops and restaurants (we didn't eat there), other than that it's just regular pier like all the others. A good place to hang out with your lover and romancing the ocean horizon, seagulls and pool of fish down below.

A memorable place to visit and experience the California coast and its culture. People are laid back and friendly, good restaurants, and memorable viewing of sea lions and other wildlife. One caution: I initially parked away from the wharf area along River street. I noticed...More

Just south of San Luis Obisbo (Central Coast) off highway 101. A 3 hour drive south from Santa Cruz Wharf. Pismo Clams are big & famous. Certain times of the year people dig for them and have parties with clam chowder & such... More

I didn't see anything that big parked on the wharf. There is a lot of parking by the amusement park on the boardwalk, so I would try there. If you are staying in the rv, sea cliff state beach has rv spots right on the ocean... More
