With its vast collection of native and non-native flowering plants, this is a great place for artists year-round. You might get lucky and catch a glimpse of a hummingbird! Check the calendar for workshops and festivals.

You'll feel like you've travelled all over the world when you visit this world class arboretum. Exotic species from South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia abound. Go in the spring when most things are blooming.

For a mere $5 you can experience a beautiful botanical garden not far from downtown Santa Cruz. Worth it!
